Our Work
Through an equity lens, we urge FCPS to reconsider recent treatment of our support employees. FCPS support staff are unified in feeling less valued and less respected than teachers and administrators. This feeling of being undervalued is stronger than ever as the district plans for a return to school. Support staff members are ready to be part of the solution in providing a successful Distance Learning experience to all FCPS students.
Statement for Support Staff Justice, Equity, and Inclusion

We must use our support staff as part of the solution to provide a successful Distance Learning experience for all FCPS students. Our students can thrive and receive the high-quality education they deserve if we intentionally use our support staff, from Instructional Assistants (IAs) and bus drivers to food service workers, secretaries, and custodians, in capacities that meet the needs of FCPS students.
